Bunco Party: Pink Flamingos on Parade
All products for sale are shown in pink. You may buy them individually or as part of our packages shown to the right with the recommended party quantities provided.

Invite 11 of your best gal pals to "let their hair down" and take a break at this fun Bunco Party. I must admit I'm a sucker for a game night. So, a group of women gathering to play Bunco is irresistible. Whether you meet regularly with a Bunco group, or spontaneously want to throw together a one-time evening, you will enjoy this party and so will your friends! And don't let yourself get overlooked. Keep it simple, casual and fun. Have fun. . . wish I could come!
Too busy - call everyone or email! Or purchase something simple like this Flamingo Card from Crane.
This party is all about letting off some steam, and what could get you more in the mood than pink flamingos, food, friends and Bunco! This party has a lot of fun, crazy details - and I've broken it down into two price points - one less expensive and one with extras and a higher bottom line - so you can choose the one that meets your needs.
The elements are:
Something fun for your guests to put on when they arrive.
For a more economical party - the Pink Leis with Paper Flamingos (one for each person) are a great buy. For all out fun - go with one Pink Feather Boa for each guest! Ooh! La! La! How many chances do you have to wear a boa?
A pink flamingo buffet table.
Start with either a Hot Pink Plastic Tablecloth (economical party) or Pink Placemats. The centerpiece is 2 fabulous Hot Pink Flower Planters with 2 festive Cyclamen Plants.
Wind a Pink Boa between the planters and sneak in a Plastic Pink Flamingo Yard Ornament (without the stick!) between the planters
Place the Flamingo Votives around (be careful not to place candles too close to the feathers). Then cut apart 1 of the Flowered Leis and scatter the flowers about. Display your Pink Paper plates (economical party) or festive Green with Pink Flamingo Melamine Plates and Napkin Bundles (See How-To) towards one side of the table.
Fun Bunco Accessories
Choose from fun Bunco accessories such as great colored dice, flamingo pens to keep score with and a pink jeweled tiara that circulates to the person who throws a Bunco (this is so much fun - I consider it a must have. Can you picture your friends in feather boas and the most recent Bunco thrower wearing the crown!)
For a special treat to your friends, you can provide all of the food rather than having everyone bring something. There are usually some very economical options if you think outside of the box. Here are some ideas from my town that might translate to yours:
- We have an independent Mexican restaurant that does a great catering/carry-out business. You get a lot of food at a low cost.
- Also, try the national chain, Carrabas. They have a great Large Party Carry-Out menu that includes items such as Lasagna and Chicken Marsala (my favorite!). And sides like their yummy salads or decadent Garlic Mashed Potatoes.
- Chinese food is another favorite among women and easily accessible by many and at different price points. PF Chang's is a fun choice if you have one locally or try your favorite down-the-street Chinese restaurant.
- I also utilize local caterers who offer piecemeal menus where you can purchase a casserole, separate hors d'ouevres, etc.
Transfer purchased food to serving trays and voila - your guests will never know you didn't slave away for hours on the food.
To drink: Champagne is always appropriate! I've included some cute Hibiscus Flutes for the All-Out version of this party. Or you can whip up a fun mixed drink like these:
Maddress: 2 oz. vodka, 2 oz. cranberry, 3 oz. of orange juice.
Cranberry-Orange Cape Codder: 1/2 cup cranberry cocktail, 1/4 cup vodka, 2 tablespoons Grand Marnier, 2 teaspoons lime juice.
The Plastic Pink Flamingo glasses can be used for these or pop and water. Also - use the extra Plastic Pink Flamingo Yard Ornament (without the stick) as a decoration on your bar area!
Bunco is an easy, fun dice game that can be learned quickly by anyone. Check out these sites for further details on the rules and traditions:

I've also included some fun Bunco accessories for you to purchase. Choose from items such as great colored dice, flamingo pens to keep score with and a pink jeweled tiara that circulates to the person who throws a Bunco (this is so much fun - I consider it a must have. Can you picture your friends in feather boas and the most recent Bunco thrower wearing the crown!)
A white elephant gift exchange is a great way to end the evening. (Click here for White Elephant Gift Exchange Directions). There are so many neat themes for a White Elephant. Jewelry/bling (set a price limit) or accessories such as purses, scarves, sunglasses, etc. are great ideas. Consignment shops or local artisans are great resources.
Take Home Gift: A hostess-with-the-mostest always has a fun take home gift for their guests! Try these Dice Lollipops wrapped with ribbon. Your friends will be able to linger over coffee in the morning while their kids are appeased with the lollipops. (Sugar in the morning only for emergencies!)
