How To

Centerpieces: Tropical Fruit and Flower Arrangement

Tropical FruitStep One

Start with a medley of your favorite tropical fruits and a mixed bouquet of flowers. I've stayed with a simple palette of yellow, green and white, but you could add orange, red, or pink fruits and flowers if you prefer.

Start by placing the biggest fruit down first. In this case I stood one pineapple up and the other on its side.

Then layer the remaining fruit around, again altering their positioning - some straight up and some on the side. When you get to smaller fruits, such as the bananas, you can lay them over and around the other fruit.

Step Two

Cut the stems of the flowers short and place them in and around the fruit.

Have fun with it! For instance, I put some daisies and greenery into the leaves of the pineapple laying on its side. Or you can tuck a flower into a hole between the coconut and the banana.
