Centerpieces: Recycle Cans and Create Whimsical Flower Containers
Step One: The Materials
Pull your cans from your recycling bins! For this project you'll need a variety of sizes and shapes of empty cans.
An assortment of colored and patterned papers
Step Two: Cut and Glue the Paper
Put the can down on the paper and mark the bottom of the can.
Then using a ruler, draw a line from the mark all the way across. Cut and glue the paper against the lip of the can, overlapping the ends. If the paper is too short to go all the way around simply cut another strip and fill in.
Whimsical Flower Containers!
Easy to do!
Inexpensive - cost of paper and flowers (unless you cut the from your garden!)
Safer than glass vases for an outdoor party.
Make a lot with different sized cans and different papers and have fun putting them all around!
